Uniform Requirements

The uniform at Shiv Lata Memorial School represents discipline, equality, identity, and pride in belonging to the institution. Wearing the prescribed uniform helps create a sense of unity among students and reduces distractions, allowing focus to remain on learning and personal development. All students are expected to come to school in complete and proper uniform every working day unless otherwise informed.

The regular school uniform consists of a white full-sleeved shirt worn neatly and tucked in at all times. Over the shirt, students wear a grey waistcoat as prescribed by the school pattern. Boys wear grey trousers and girls wear grey pleated skirts of approved length and design. A grey tie for boys and a grey bow for girls are compulsory and must be worn properly during school hours and official functions.

During colder months, the official grey blazer forms part of the winter uniform. Students must ensure that winter wear follows the approved colour and pattern so that uniformity is maintained across classes.

Footwear and socks are equally important parts of the uniform. Students must wear grey knee-length socks and black closed shoes that are clean and polished daily. Shoes should be comfortable, school-appropriate, and not sporty or flashy in style.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays, students wear their House Dress instead of the regular uniform. The house dress consists of the designated house-colour T-shirt or dress along with prescribed white shoes and white socks. This dress is designed for comfort during activities, sports, and house events.

Personal grooming is considered part of uniform discipline. Hair must be neat, nails trimmed, and appearance tidy. The uniform reflects respect for the school and should be worn with responsibility and pride.
